Twelve Horses announced it has implemented the Sender Policy Framework (SPF) standard.

Twelve Horses' recent product upgrade ("14.5") includes support of the SPF authentication program and other features to ensure customers email deliverability remains high.

SPF is an anti-Spam approach in which the receiving email server authenticates the Internet domain of an email sender for legitimacy. SPF works by making it harder for spammers to "spoof" the domain that they are sending email from preventing spammers from pretending to be someone they are not. (Incoming mail servers may reject, delete or otherwise dispose of email not protected by SPF.) AOL first adopted this authentification tool.

"With Spam filling in-boxes, SPF is an important initiative for legitimate email marketers, like our customers," said Steve Spencer, President and Chief Technology Officer for Twelve Horses. "This tool helps identify them as a good senders, which allows them to continue to use email to communicate with their core audiences, while protecting their domain names and ultimately, their reputation."

Twelve Horses latest product release introduces a host of additional features to help customers increase the deliverability of email marketing campaigns from Spam checks to ensure content acceptance, to purge capabilities to remove bad addresses from lists and managing of temporary blacklists to work effectively with strict and dynamic ISP policies.
